There's a lot of really BIG pictures about, at the moment
Anybody else find this a bit tedious? Someone posts a picture and, after waiting for the massive thing to load (my broadband isn't that broad) I
find myself having to use the scroll bars to look at various bits of the picture.
There are various ways that pictures can be resized, for instance, I have a free Photobucket account and they have on-line resizing and other
features.
I'm also willing to bet that most if not all the software that comes with digital cameras could be used to resize pictures.
Thank you for reading my rant

Failing that, Paint is on most computers and take 2 seconds to resize

If you've got Windows XP there is a Microsoft addon that does the trick - it lets you right click the file name and resize the pic without
having to open it.
Available here about 2/3 of the way down - called Image Resizer.
It says that PowerToys only work with US English regional settings, but the Image Resizer at least works OK

The mental gymnastics a landlord will employ to justify immoral actions is clinically fascinating. Just because something is legal doesn't make
it moral.

It's getting people to actually use these facilities that seems to be the problem. Quite often they are well aware of the problem, but seem
unwilling to fix it (sorry, don't know how to re-size pics) and other such pathetically weak, lame and entirely risible excuses of the
hopelessly non-effective variety.

I would like to see the Kit car that could take that engine, that would be a bit of engineering. Not a Pinto but I bet it may be a diesel!

Why do I have to make the tools to finish the job? More time then money.

Get firefox, and install the 'Image Zoom' plugin. It has an option to automatically re-size images to fit your screen.
Won't make them load any faster though

I have similar problems with my not-very-broadband - especially with bike / car videos on youtube. I had a fair bit of success with
"TCPOptimizer" (sorry - that's how it's spelt...) on speedguide.net:
Clicky
Hope it helps - Francis.
