quick member search shows calvinx has only had one post, and it was about paint.

Mabye it was another member? (although you were right with him being in cyprus)

It was CalvinX aka Marc Duncan I believe. I bought one and have used it for Steel, Stainless steel and Aluminium...

Positives:

The machine seems to be pretty well made. I've used it quite a bit and had no problems. The footpedal works fine. It welds steel and stainless very well in DC mode.

Negatives:

The torch that was supplied with it is totally crap. I've changed mine to a Parweld torch and never looked back.

If you want very high quality welds on aluminium then I would suggest you look at a machine that has frequency control - this machine only operates in AC at the input frequency.

The HF start is not the strongest I've used but it's fine once you get used to it. A few machines have also had the HF board fail according to the interweb.

I have one and IMHO it's the best investment I made whilst building the car.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.
