Despite living in London all my life and owning various classics, bikes and kit cars I have never ventured to the Ace Cafe before this morning. Anyway, decided enough was enough and took the wife for a morning out. I loved it. Had a race with an Escort fitted with a Lotus engine on the way and then sat watching some great bikes, cars and kits whilst stuffing my face. Can't recommend it enough.
good for you mate!
am tempted to get mine out - but is a bit chilly!
I went out this morning - a bit slippery, but the engine runs SO well on this cold air!
And my Christmas present worked very well - a pair of heated gloves. Where in the past my fingers used to hurt after a couple of miles, today they
were just a bit cold after 20 miles and they actually got a bit warm when I drove at 30! I'm a happy bunny!
The only down-side today was having to wash the car down after the journey... so much salt...
Wherabouts in North London are you?

Steve I have to think about booking SVA (hopefully ) etc. Where was yours - Walthamstow ? And where is our DVLA office ?
Congrats Ace cafe is Ace :-)
Hi, I'm in Winchmore Hill. I used Edmonton SVA who were excellent and Borehamwood for registering who were a little by the book but ok.
As for the Ace Cafe, they have things going on all the time. I can easily imagine a Sunday morning breakfast from time to time so I'll put a
post up if I plan it in advance.
Thanks Steve. was at Ace Cafe for the start of the Grease to Greece chip oil rally.
Smell put me off chips for weeks
If the snow stays away I think I will get a breakfast in at the cafe tomorrow. Need to be back for the footie at 1.30 and need to fit in a trip to B&Q before then so I'll aim for 9.30. I took the car out today for a little spin and it was lovely, fingers crossed for good weather.
