But it doesnt have to be that way.

In 2008 me and 8 mates did a >2000 mile 9 day trip through the French, Swiss and Italian Alps and on to Monte Carlo and Millau brige with a target cost of £1,000 incl fuel, meals, accom (hotels & camping), ferry and booze. We all overspent slightly but not by much (I was £1,068).

Planning our 2009 trip right now.

nice! was thinking of doing a trip round europe, visiting all the good places (nurburgring, stelvio pass)...
