Mine probs has to be E36 M3 Evo saloon.
Current car ranks quite high - E46 320D tourer.
Mac#1 as well of course.
hmmmmm
Mini 1275GT and E36 M3 Evo (well, that one was the wife's, but I still loved it and would happily have another)...
The Mcc Smart that I had in 2001 was the car that made me happiest. For a couple of months I actually looked forward to going to work, just so I could drive it. It REALLY made me look forward to going home from work too!
Mark 2 Golf Gti 16V. Lots of fun and quick. Unfortunately the piston seals were going and I couldn't afford to get this fixed. Lovely car!
VW Corrado in the lovely blue/purple with some bloody wide wheels and rather low and full s/s exhaust and then 2 people drove into it while it was
parked up, i even watched the second person hit it bout 2 mins after i had finished taking down the first guys details
No passengers in the back and speed bumps were rather fun even getting down the drive was an intresting one
1985 Escort XR3i in silver and primer.
Bought from the scrappy, stolen recovered with no interior and wheels, damaged wing and front panel.
Put some RS Turbo suspension and brakes on, added the obligatory Alpine and away to go.
'Best' is the same as 'worst'? The reason the Montego wasn't my worst car (previuos thread) was because it was the
'best' production car I've had....
I say that because it was a 2.0L Turbo, was bullet (150mph) fast and a real handful to drive on boost. The best car I've ever owned only because
of the HUGE turbo on it and the mad accceleration/torque steer.
alfa 155
By far the most fun car I've ever owned was my Falcon. Unbelievably practical everyday (good heater, good hood, sooo comfy on long journeys),
handled like a dream as it could be pushed right past its grip limit and drift effortlessly round corners full throttle. I was in tears when it was
smashed up tbh totally loved that little thing.
will be on the road again this summer
Here’s my sister having a shot at one of the many shows we took it to, oh pleasant times
Lost a third of my hearing in my right ear from that exhaust too oops
Note too the roadrunner cartoon at the bottom corner of the windscreen, later I added Tigger on the top of the radiator cap to pi$$ of Jag owners
& off course Herbies 53 race number, superb

Best, favourite, most missed and most fun car was my first 205 GTI. Not a 1.9 and all the better for it IMHO. Spent god knows how much replacing
pretty much every steering and suspension component (with standard OEM parts, not MAX Power type aftermarket bits). Spent ages cleaning and replacing
the engine breathing system and a lot of the (French) wiring.
Boy I had some fun in that little car - so much so that I have often considered getting rid of the Indy to fund another 205.
Pug 205 GTI Red 1
Renault 5 GT Turbo, phase 1.
Except for time spent for maintenance...
I with Donny on this one with the Mark 2 Golf Gti 16V. My wife had it originally as a company car and I bought it for not much money when they replaced it. Had 120K on it with full service history and I drove it for a further 80K with no more than servicing, tyres and rear box. Great fun to drive with good performance and handling.
for fun factor, seat ibiza cupra 20vt, with K04 turbo pushing 280bhp (thats a 280bhp polo basically)
for style, mazda rx8
all rounder id have to say Audi TT with 280bhp remap. very quick, comfy and smart.
for all out madness, my kit
Bought myself a Leon Cupra R 225 after a string of insurance friendly Golfs. Love it everything on it is just what i wanted and it flies in the high
revs just a shame it came with pirelli p zeros in the wet they are shocking and i cant wait to get some better rubber on it soon
[Edited on 11/2/09 by bassett]
106 1.5 diesel!!
Took soo much abuse, pulled an l200 off bude beach, punched a hole though a hedge, had to sell it when cash was short and it breaks my heart that i
sold it...

For me it was a 1993 Porsche 968 Club Sport. Wish I had never sold it. Not very practical but a great handling car that taught me loads about how a rear wheel drive car should be balanced. Still miss it, bucket seats and all.
Vauxhall Astra 1.8 (8v) GTE (1985). Engine and gearbox good for 130K, Shame about the body work!!
Happy days in that car.
Hopefully the Worx MAC 1 (ZX10R) will soon take the place of 'best ever car'
Best car was a 1984 MK1 XR2 in silver.
It wasn't as fast as the 1.6 205gti I swapped it for, neither was it as light or well equipped, but it handled like a go kart and you could throw
it around like you stole it - the 205 terrified me when it went light at the back on unfamiliar roads and it wasn't fast enough in a straight
line to keep up with a friends Charade GTti which was mad as a hatter!
Manta 2.0 GTE Coupe in black.
tail end out any time any place anywhere.
Ohhh happy days
regards
Agriv8
For me it has to be my old Clio V6 Mk1.
This car had sooo muh road precence it was silly. I had 3 way KW Variant Coilovers fitted, A stainless exhaust I designed, One off drilled 18 OZ
Ultraleggra Wheels on T1-R's, Pipercross Evo induction kit and a few other bits and pieces. Everyone use to love it, wether it be the plate, the
looks or the sound.

I've had a few good cars over the years which include-
Audi A3 S-Line DSG (current car)
Subaru Impreza Turbo
Renault 19 16v
Renault 5 GTX (1.7)
But the best (read - most fun) was a Nissan 200SX (S13).
Any car that tries to kill you everytime you drive it proves very entertaining
205 gti, followed closely by my Impreza wagon in the rain.... I miss them both.
For me it's the same as cooser.
Best because it was the fastest car i ever owned (or am likely to). 345 BHP @ the wheels, 1/4 mile in 12.04 seconds and a top speed of 163mph
Worst because something would break every 5 minutes so it spent more time in the garage than it did on the road....

Porsche Boxster 'S'... sure there are a million and one cliches relating to Boxster ownership, but I just couldn't fault the thing.
Near as damn perfect!
this one will get some raised eyebrows......
the best car I have owned - and certainly the most fun to drive, most reliable and best built!
was my Fiat Stilo 2.4 Abarth!!
wonderful car... I miss it sniff!
stilo

Honda Civic Type R, loved driving that car it just wanted to be driven hard.
my fav had to be the lancia delta integrale evo II rest in pieces. followed up by the alfa 155 silverstone rust in peace.
can only find a picture of the alfa
1973, black tulip (very dark purple) mini 1000. First car I got to drive regularly (and it was 17 years old when a spotty 17 year old started driving it) and fabulous - not fast but loads of character.
Montego Turbo
Astra GTE
RS2000 replica
mine was my first cars, MK2 and MK1 escort...
Great times !!!
That would be either
1. '77 Alfasud 1.2ti, bought for £80. Fitted with 1286 ti engine from the scrappy. Dunno what had been done to the engine but it would rev to
7500 rpm happily and could blow away golf gti's, XR3i's etc.
Best handling car I've ever driven.
2. Citroen GSA estate - 1.3 flat four, bought with 100k on the clock for £200. Lovely smooth revvy little engine, fantastic brakes.
Last saw it with 175k on the clock and still going strong.
Stu
Has to be my Dolomite sprint. Huge acceleration in it's day and totaly neutral handling. Drifting round big roundabouts steering on the throttle was a joy. Still miss it.
volvo 850 T5 - does what it says on the box, eliable, effortless cruising, probably not the most fun but then that is another topic.
in order...
1, ford capri 2.8injection, bought brand new by me a spotty faced 18yrs old paid for with my "earnings" from falklands war, paid cash for
it, salesman thought i was dreaming until i showed him the cash, from going into dealers to driving away from showroom = 20 hours.
insurance was £1100 in 1982
2, MG Montego Turbo, absolute hoon to drive, surprised quite a few more expensive so called performance cars.
i sold the capri then 2 yrs later saw it for sale & bought it back again, loved that car.
andy
My old Nissan 200sx s14 - black with the touring pack
Loved that car, despite it trying to kill me on a regular basis
Bought it when it was only a year old for far too much money. I remember driving it round france with my new girl friend at the time (she's now
my wife ) - even drove it round the Monaco circuit
Cost too much money though on the loan repayments, and I had to sell it to afford a house with said GF
Gutted to see it go. I still sometimes wonder about buying another one - difficulty to get them unaltered these days though

Couldn't possibly pick a favourite.
Any car I have ever bought was always 'the only car for me' the day I bought it.
Some didn't keep up that status, some did.
However, if a good picture makes it a good car, it would be.
Either the Locost, the GTM or the Sylva.
I have action pics of all of these.
maserati ghibli 2l biturbo, but not in winter!
Alfasud 1500ti
Tow car of the year.
Shame about the iron oxide.

The most fun to drive was my old s13 200sx and the fastest and best handling was my Impreza turbo.
my lotus carlton no 282 had a superchips 1 bar conversion and made 450hp at 1 bar boost did a genuine 180mph down the m6 toll road at night , clutch pedal got a bit notchy so got rid before it punched a hole in the bellhousing wouldnt have another one but glad i had one for a while
best cars ive owned were 4 door 406 v6 execs. For the money, ridiculously comfy and quick.
Subaru legacy/impreza and nissan sx/zx were more fun, but you dont always want to go fast.
Two favorites for me - an old Mk2 Transit that just went like stink (the speedo needle spent a lot of time over the `p` on the MPH at the bottom of
the speedo...) , and an Alfa 164 - BRG , full black leather , easy 140 mph , bought for just £360
Sadly I went and sold that when the clutch had given up (and I suspect a leaking head gasket..)
Wish I could find another.............
I'm sure you could get hold of a 164 fairly cheap
Mine was my Celica gt4 wrc 292bhp and 289ft lb. Never once had a problem and it was always driven hard. Nothing quite like a four wheel drift ;] Only
sold it to fund the start of the Fulcrum, still miss it now.
Snetterton
Series 1 106 Rallye, was such a fun car to drive! Worked near Milton Keynes at the time. Redlining it in every gear towards every roundabout then out
braking and out cornering everyone on the way to work cant be beaten!
Unfourtunately Im having to sell the Indy soon. Should be left with enough money to buy a 205 GTi and put a Mi16 engine in it. 13" steels and F3
slicks should make it a fun track car!

Alfasud 1500ti
I'm with Dusty on this one, My first car. A Dolomite sprint.
Mine didn't handle well due to the 18 rubber bushes in the rear suspension all being worn, the body roll would settle down about 100yds after the
corner

Well, I probably miss my '73 Fiat 500 and our first new car - BRM 200 Rover the most.
Enjoyed my ZT260 a lot, but cost too much to run (only took 3 years to figure that out!!).
Most fun for looning was my 'busa, though it was slightly lardy - but then I prefer a bit of weight.
Toy car obviously is the one I will never part with, a bit like Trigger's broom.
