edspurrier - 23/2/09 at 06:09 PM

JUst booked a day at Barkston Heath wwhich has a slalom / doughnut practice area. I'd quite like to try some autotest in the future, so how do I learn how to do handbrake turns, J turns etc?

Thanks
Ed

Yeah, the lads at ASDA seem better than those at Tesco, I guess its because they have a larger run off area

hi,
I started autotesting by Joining my local car club, which ran club autotests. If you have no joy with a local club, check out www.btrda.com and the btrda/demon tweeks autotest championship or the msa's go motorsport web site.
National championship event will cost £25-£30, you will also need an MSA Licence (clubmans will be ok). There is no reason why you can't start autotesting in a national championship. The BTRDA championship is very friendly and you would be helped by your fellow competitors.
