Holiday time - off to the Alps
clairetoo - 12/7/09 at 02:42 PM

I finally got round to making a decision..........of sorts.........and booked myself a ferry ticket
Now that my Fury is finally behaving itself (and being economical as well) I have come to the conclusion that a bit of mountain road hooning is in order - the last time I went in my Fury was 2003 , and I crashed into a mountain ......
But this time will be different ........ honest
All I have to do now is figure out where I'm going when I roll off the ferry !

Check the Tour de France route; They're in the alps next weekend. You don't want to get caught up in that or you'll find yourself parked up for the day. Having said that I'm off thier next weekend to watch.

Some good driving roads in the alps suggested here (though most of the links are broken so it's a bit old)

Have fun and be careful!

ditto.
Catching the channel tunnel weds am through france asap, over alps rather than the mont blanc tunnel, touring northern italy back 10 days later.
Partner speaks french and italian so only hard bit is stopping at every petrol station! 20mpg.
