I got confirmation today from my Boss I can get a few weeks off, so here is my plan.
I'm going to drive to Goodwood revival in the seven, from there on the Sunday I'm going to leave heading south through France (probably stop
somewhere near Bordeaux.) then over the Pyrenees via the twisties to pamplona, then across to compostella, down to Lisbon, across the straight of
Gibraltar, down to Imlil via Fez and another stop over somewhere interesting.
Hike up Jebel Toubkal weather permitting, then back up via Marakesh and anywhere else that takes my fancy.
Stop off in Granada, Either Valencia or Barcelona to visit some friends, quickly pass through the riviera, over one of the cols into
italy/switzerland, stop off at the autotechniek museum in sinsheim, and back home to Utrecht around mid October.
So the question is - how far will the car make it before it fails terminally.
Oh and if anybody wants to come along for the ride or part thereof, let me know.
Make sure you talk to Hicost about driving through Morocco.
He did a rally round there. It sounds like the reception from the locals was 'interesting'.
I've been to Morrocco for a day trip to Tangiers. I would not be keen to go there in a Se7en. I would certainly not want to leave it unattended!
Sounds like a fantastic trip. Hope you have a great time!
Cheers,
James
The old skool ford parts store does not do a recovery service!
(David has, on occasion, had to call me to supply a part from my collection of crossflow bits).
I'll vote in a second - give me more exact dates (if you can) and i'll let you know. Sounds like an excuse to fly out and meet you in spain
tho.
having now seen the votes - some people are very optimistic!!!!
Then again, you are good at bodging solutions when the needs must
Good luck sounds great, I think the biggest worry will be sunburn/stroke. be careful
Are you going to take pics where ever you stop and post them on here to make sure
1) your safe,
2) we know were you have got to,
3) making us jealous....
Best of Luck and have a happy journey....

ps you should be able to get some internet cafes to post your pics......
Seriously mate, from what I understand from those like Hicost and Biddle who went on the Morrocco GOME rally, ANYTHING, that's not bolted to the
car, the locals will attempt to steal.
Take everything you can off the car when you leave it. And don't take anything that has monetary or sentimental value.
Cheers,
James
positive outlook, all the way home!
Jealous of Leeds.
