Reading slick tyres, when do you know the setup is right?

Hello

First time out with slicks, they were evenly hot across the rubber when felt by hand.

Fronts had a rolled bead of rubber about 1/3rd in from the outside edge, rears flat across the whole section.

Anyway has anyone any pictures of what I should be trying to achieve, tips?

Cheers Mark

Mark, there's some info on reading slicks here:

How did you get on with them? Much difference from the 048s? I'll have to come over and pick mine up from you soon. I've sold some wheels so I've got space for them now!

Thanks Tom

No hurry on collection, I have now cleared a bit more room so not in the way.

More grip than the 048's and felt more stable, I would not say a huge difference to be honest although I did not swap over during the day so just from memory at Lydden.

Looking at the wear I used less slick than 048's so if swapping around should work out at 1/4 the price so bonus all around.

When I was exiting the pit lane floored it in third and they spung up so you will definately need that LSD in or you will still suffer lighting up the inside wheel.
