No, not getting rid of the Rover....
Buying a Shogun, has some nice touches, noticed already I don't get cut up as much as before and its roomy comfortable and... so slow..... and
reminds me of the trucks I sometimes drive...
So, I now need something with a good size boot (estate) is solid on the road, and is CHEAP to run! See the connection there?

Octavia estate TDI
Loads a room, reliable, 50mpg+, vw, audi parts,
older ones coming on the market cheap.
...just make sure its not a ex taxi.
Iv'e got a Volvo V50 unless youv'e got a big wallet beware, £200 a tyre and £175 for one side front wheel bearings wheel bearings all part
of hub, was not impressed.
But the car is brilliant:
toyota avensis gets my vote.
Although they do have a strange tyre size which makes them expensive.
180 bhpish but a little thirsty even when driven gently mid to high 40s mpg
Big boot very comfy and the one i got second hand has all the toys and no its not one of the ones with the accelerator pedal
