leg room

my mk indy blade is fitted with grp seats and the drivers one is on a sliding rail, i think. i cant get it to move but as it will only be me driving, is it worth removing the rail and just putting the seat where i want it straight into the car, as i could do with a tiny bit more leg room

I think most people have them fixed for themselves.

Will there just be nuts under the car and the bolts are captive

Probably, mine are.

yeah, it depends on the rails though - mine isn't captive in the rail, and I need to slide the seat forward to get at the back ones.

My mrs doesn't want to drive it, so I might take my rail off over winter.

I would say do what you want. Thats why you have a kit car right? so that it is the way that you want it!

Is there a gap between the seat back and the panel behind the seats?
If so then whatever is holding it vcan be removed and it re-fitted wherever you want it
