First "moment" today
Dangle_kt - 16/10/10 at 06:42 PM

Was out for what might be the last drive of the year, had a great time.

Driving down a country lane going pretty quick, came across an old codger driver who decided they wanted more than their fair share of the lane. I had to slam on but the off side front locked up in all the dirt.

I wasn't going silly quick, but it was pretty freeky coming off the brakes so I could steer!

"Driving down a country lane going pretty quick"

Says it all really....

At least you knew to get off the brakes to regain steering control.

I have seen several 'race' drivers go straight off the track with the brakes locked.
If they had come off the brakes they could have tried to get round the corner and at worst they may have spun and come to rest on the track.

Yours,
(an old codger - who sometimes goes a bit quick)

He didn't use the cadence braking technique, he just took his foot off the brake pedal to regain control of the steering.

No time for that fancy stuff Tim, it just felt very very wrong getting off the brakes!

That said I had a brilliant drive out, and apart for this little brown trouser moment it was the perfect end to the year.

least you got the option to get off the brakes . My first moment that was that as the arse end came round to meet the front end, Only a kerb and a fence to stop me luckily I hit the loud pedal and spun away from the fence. Oh the M56 was beckoning below at thetime as I was on a bridge
