Hello All. I finally got the (7) complete and on the road. However it too cold here in Arizona to drive it. There are pictures on
"locost7phoenix" Please google it. I had one devil of a time getting it to run properly. I did not have a donor car and went the parts
ruote, Engine is a Toyota 4AGE and I used the Megajolt option for the ignition. The coil and computer are from Ford EDIS. A note here I had
problems with ther ignition until I found the pickup was viabrating. I added a small bracket and reset the spacing to 1MM. I did not look forward to
solving the wiring that came out of the Toyota ECU.
The fuel supply is twin Dellorto side draughts, I hand built the exhaust manifold. Seedometer is a motorcycle (Vapor) unit. I did not use the ECU
from a toyota and designed my own wiring harness. Much simpler I thought. No problems to date. The front hubs are Triumph Spitifre and wheels are
from a Triumph TR7/8. Tyres are 205 55R Toyoto R8.
Looking back, the project took four yerars of part time labour. It could have been done in about one year, however there were house and work in the
pipeline, so I took it easy. I am English decent with parents from Dover & West Brom. I have been to the UK twice and plan at least one more
trip, I have rellies in West Brom to visit.
