Yeah it was a nice day, track was very damp in the morning, especially by the pit exit (much drier further up the banking). I had a big slide coming out of the last hairpin on the sighting laps.

I had a bigger 'moment' in the same place a few laps earlier, almost span across the grass - the grip level changes were huge until later in the day when it started to get more evenly dry.

It's a 2.0 blacktop zetec on newman ph3 cams and weber 45's. It's got a lovely power curve (thanks to Northampton motorsport) with few flat spots and lots of low end 'shove'

No more track days now until the new year I think...

2:54 was a nice twitch.. what happened?

the slide @ 2:54 was just too much power on a damp track, I thought I waited long enough before applying more power (you can see the other cars pulling away) as I had already had a bigger slide in that spot a few laps previously.

The trouble I had was that you just couldn't tell where the grip was by just looking, you had to find the slippy bits with your right foot

I guess once you've been a few times you get used to the track.
