midlands weather ?
clairetoo - 5/8/12 at 07:24 AM

How's the weather in midlands looking this week ? I ask because I am sitting here on the sun having breakfast on a campsite in Dunkerque , having been forced.to abandon the alps due to a knackered gearbox ( it sounds like a bag of spanners , in a tumble dryer , in a cement mixer....)
Add to that the engine is smoking a lot from one bank , megasquirt won't accept any changes ( so I have to run with the laptop on all the time )
I limped ham from Switzerland with ear plugs and multiple oil top-ups , achieving a staggering 40 mpg , but the question is do I suffer the rest of the week on beach before my ferry , or grab an earlier crossing and get back to the garage ..........

As far as I can work out from the weather forecast, its all going to depend on where you are, when its raining, where it IS raining.

Oh and northamptonshire at the mo is bright and sunny. Yesterday it was was bright and sunny, in between the rain showers and storms. Some times yesterday it was bright and sunny even when it was raining.

I left Mallory Park yesterday in light rain, drove home through a torrent but whenI got home they'd only had a few spots. My inlaws had sunshine all day. It is very patchy.

Stuff the car, it will not improve and enjoy your holiday while there.

Do not know about the midlands, West London is overcast but warm with patchy rain expected.

I've decided to stay and relax for the week - it sure does feel nice just going for a stroll along the beach just because I can......
