Hi all my car passed IVA last year but I didn't get an MOT and it wasn't register until September so what date should I get it MOT'ed?

First MOT is three years after IVA.

First MOT is due 3 years from date of registration.

Fill one of those in and do it at P.O

DVLAs online system has difficulty with some kits as it doesn't recognise Q's and age related cars as not needing MOT for 3 years. There's a form to declare you don't need MOT available and if do a search on here and you shold find it refered to (sorry can't remember it's number). Fill that in and take it all to the post office including your V5 (with date of first registration on it) and you should be OK; plenty of others have done that..

Hi thanks for your advise is it the V112 form I need to fill in? It sounds about right form states "Declaration of Exemption from MOoT Testing"?
