Yes, weather looks good and cant wait to get going. I hope to get to Oulton early and get sorted with the Garage etc. I have a mate travelling 300 miles who has never done a trackday but is really keen. Always good to meet others and have a natter. I am hoping the guy who does the corner weighting/ suspension set up will be there as the pug has new shocks on the back although that will be my excuse for being slow! Good check over the car tomorrow and then hope for good weather.
See you soon.
Joe

Hi Paul
The 205 is sick, been at it all day with no luck. I will be going anyway and hopefully getting a split hire of a Tiger R6. I will be in a gunmetal Jag XF. The garage I have booked is yours if you want it. I wont be using it sadly. See you there.
Joe

mitch2b - 29/11/12 at 08:54 PM

is there a fee to watch?, may have a ride out ?

Mitch

yozza - 29/11/12 at 09:30 PM

No fee to watch at trackdays and always a good chance of a passenger ride in something quick. Good day out if you like cars and having a natter with car nuts. Call over and say Hi. I am still bringing the biscuits and tea!

The pug never made it to Oulton park but thanks to Paul in his Aries and Darren in his Cayman it turned out to be a good day. My mate had travelled from Gt Yarmouth for a day so I was a bit gutted the pug was sick. Focused Events guy Barry tried his best to get a few laps for my mate in the Tiger and succeeded just before the fog came in, closing the circuit. Many, many thanks to Paul for taking both myself and my mate out. Top bloke and a quick driver in a quick car. I have some photos Paul, just send your e-mail and I will forward them.
Well organised event and Barry (FE) is one of the good guys.
Thanks again
Joe

What a great day, shame the fog came in and ended the day early, good to meet you Joe and Andy, and pleased I could make your day that bit better, thanks for the coffee and biscuits and the garage,
The car felt great, ran well all day with no problems, could not get much heat in the slicks and the track was very cold and slippy all day, but for the time of the year you can't complain, very well run event by Focus, at a good price, I will use them again

I have U2U my email address Joe, cheers Paul

Andy D - 1/12/12 at 03:25 PM

Wot no vids Paul?

What time did the fog stop proceedings? it's getting pretty gloomy around 4ish anyway..

PAUL FISHER - 1/12/12 at 03:57 PM

Fog came in at around 14.30, so only managed one session after lunch, I did put my camera on for the afternoon, but after about ten minutes it packed up, all the picture went fuzzy, I think I am going to get a "go pro", but I will post up what ive got.

PAUL FISHER - 2/12/12 at 03:20 PM

Some pictures Joe emailed me of my car

PAUL FISHER - 3/12/12 at 04:20 PM

Here go only video of the day, it stopped at 8m 13s and went all fuzzy, but very pleased the way the car handled in the cold damp and slippy conditions on slicks, looking back at the video I took some crap line through a few of the corners though

The ol' funcup beetle was going well.
