Big cheesy grin time!

Well, I got my bits of paper from the Ipswich DVLA today, so I rushed out and got the plates. Fitted them, leapt in the car, put my helmet on, flicked the switch... and my starter stuck! I hate inertia starters! After a bit of fiddling I got it working and went out for a brief blat before it persistently rained once more...

My, what a lot of fun!!! Just 4 or 5 miles, but a real blast, even though I'm limiting the revs to 4K-ish until I've done a few hundred miles and the engine's run in a bit. Lucky I didn't have a passenger tho' - they'd have been soaked by the puddles!

Good game this, innit!

What surprised me the most was the steering - it's only a standard 'slow' rack, but it's quick enough for me at the moment!

Also, when I'm in my 'real' car, I can relax and almost drive on auto-pilot - switched on and alert, but not consciously keeping the car in the lane. In this one, if my attention wanders, so does the car!

All part of the fun, really.

Now, if there's some decent weather tomorrow, I'm off to the seaside...

Well done that man - join the club of SVAers... shame the weather this time of year will hold you back a bit...

You'll find your concentration levels will be incredible - and you'll be kn4ck3r3d by the end of a midium drive!

I know what you mean!

My main reason for building a 7-alike is that I wanted the motorbike experience, with less risk (i.e. my missus wouldn't let me have another bike )

I certainly got the same sort of buzz yesterday! I think I'm going to have fun...
...weather permitting.

Being a lifelong tin top driver , I found you become more aware ,and 'at one 'with your surroundings in a Locost . Just couldnt wait to get out there with MOT etc. Even thoughI still have lots to straighten out and finish, I don't care -its the driving experience that counts!
