Driving back from Wales this morning on the A5 (possibly near Nesscliffe) As I came off a roundabout onto the dual carriageway a grey Caterham had
span out and the car looked a little worse for wear. I stopped and asked the bloke (and his little jack russel companion) if he was ok which he was
..But obviously shook up.... He had lost a couple of wings and had a few dents etc.
Said he must of hit some oil or something as he wasnt going very fast when it happened. Luckily for me I was in a different lane because when I tried
to set off I was spinning the wheels in every gear.
Was it anyone off here????

Sounds like the chap (and his dog) weren't hurt which is the main thing. Although its always bad news when someone bends their 7
I had a 360 degree spin on the A5 once and the Islands can be treacherous around Oswestry & Shrewsbury if your not careful, especially if its been
raining (Luckily for me everyone backed off to watch the bloke in front battling to control his Westfield)
There would have been a few 7's about today as there was a run on in aid of the Severn Hospice and they were meeting up afterwards at Attingham
Park.
Often this can be down to HGVs over-filling tanks and diesel spilling out around corners. There used to be one parked near me, and the only time my
neighbour ever slid his daytona out and hit the deck was at the end of our street.
Anyone got a better idea, or can tell me if design has improved recently?
The Motorcycle Action Group have been campaigning on this issue for years.
Unfortunately without much success it would seem.

There are a couple of roundabouts I drive regularly that become deadly at the slightest trace of dampness which floats spilled diesel back to the
surface. One on the A77 near Prestwick Airport has caused countless accidents.
A few months back one Sunday morning a bus spread a whole tank of DERV between Motherwell and Glasgow it made the whole route as deadly as black
ice.
