Tax sorted for the summer, first sortie of the year this afternoon. Pleased to say car ran sweet. Hope everyone else has a successful start to the season.
3 weeks before I get mine out.
Off down to Kames for a track day on 24th :-)
Who's track day is it?
East Ayrshire car club run members test days at their sprint track.
20 quid to join the club for a year
35 quid for the test day.
Also Last Thursdays of the month they have track evenings.
Its a great little venue and cafe they have.

Been there years ago. Might try and pop over to see what like one Thurs evening.
Gave the old Dutton a blast across Dartmoor and back down the A38 to Plymouth, never missed a beat, happy chappie am I.
oddly enough, I have just taken mine off the road! tax and Insurance ran out in March, (been using the car over the winter a bit) it passed it's MOT just before, but I have the front wheel bearings to change, and the crank position sensor to swap out with a different sized one. thought I'd save myself a month of everything. Hope I can actually get the work done quickly!
First day out for me this year. I was trying to sort out insurance Thursday night so I could tax it online ready for this weekend.
2 insurance companies were closed at 5 or 5.30 so I tried Flux... After giving a few details they said "but sir you are already insured with us
until the end of the month" Doh! Definite altzheimers kicking in I fear. Good job the others didnt pick up the phone.
Only managed a quick 16 mile trip cross country to ASDA, but it certainly blew the cobwebs off. Great weather too.

I really want to get mine out but waiting to get my fuel tank back and it needs to go to the rolling road. If I can find somewhere to do it.

I'd recommend Dale at http://baileyperformance.co.uk/
He's closer to you than me, he was my first decent trip after converting the rv8 to motorbike ITBs and megasquirt.. top bloke. (don't know re other systems or carbs, but I'd definitely be asking.)
I'd also recommend ATSpeed but they are in Essex!

I have spoken to dale but he can't get me in there until the end of May! I need it doing before that as I need to MOT it too. I'll have to try Saxon Motorsport in Hereford. A bit pricey though.
Essex is a bit far for me. I'll have a ring around tomorrow and see what I can sort.
