Sunday saw a run out to meet up with the Scottish westy lads, forecast was to be dull and maybe showers.... anyway a lot of interest was going about
and a good day promised. I headed off at 10am and met up with a couple of lads at the lecht road, so off we set with a spirited drive over and down
the Lecht (25% gradient on the way down ) then over glen shiel to Braemar where we fuelled up and numbers increased to 10, cars all fed we had a wee
blast down to Glenshee where we met with the southeners and numbers swelled to 26. There were a good mix of locost, Haynes, westies , caterhams, a
fury, 2 x lotus exige / elise , a noble and a Porsche.
So after a wee bit of craic and lunch we headed back to Braemar (enthusiastically) as there were some very thirsty cars then on towards Ballater,
turning onto the Glenshiel single track road over the hill and then a good romp up the Lecht (25% remember) here we got a wee shower so gave a bit of
respect to damp roads.. lol and onto Tomintoul, here I pulled off with a couple of caterhams had tea and then a wee romp back up to Dufftown home
around 5.30...... a great day out with like minded folks, next is 4 days in Killin , Perthshire and then 3 days in Applecross taking in Eilann Dinan
castle ( where Highlander was filmed) and then over to the Glenelg ferry to skye and back to Applecross (if any one wants any details / come along get
in touch)
so anyway here are a few clips... enjoy

Nice, there are some great open roads up there. Not much traffic either, perfect for a weekend blast.
It was a great day Gary, and glad so many of you guys could make it along! We were certainly blessed with great weather and pleasantly surprised how quiet some of the best sections of road were!
When they take the engine out of the front and put it in the back they call it a J15, here shown beside Angus's Stryker (in blue that is).

Hi Rab , yes it really was a great day out and I was surprised we all got over the Glenshiel road so easily , I won make the reservoir run as that
is when I am meeting up with Geoffrey.
Prisoner, I stand corrected and apolagise for my ignorance. hope your not to offended at me calling her a fury, but this is what makes it all so much
fun is learning about and meeting folks and their cars, bring on applecross
Looks great........I worked for Glenshee and Glencoe Ski Centres for about 3 years......
