Today I drove home to cheshire from Carmarthen. I let mr TomTom do the navigating & came north via A40 and A483. Brilliant drive. The section
south of Newtown on the A483 was magic: the scenery, no gatsos, no holdups - roads fun at legal speeds & -get this - shellgrip ON THE
HAIRPINs.!
I'd almost forgotten there's pleasure in purely driving - I thought it had all been taken away.

PS TT navigator is handy - tells you if a corner is going to tighten, or when you're leaving a sequence of bends towards the next straight (so
long as you don't use the daft "3D view"
I agree with the comments about TT. Though I use destinator.
Driving round some country lanes in Harrogate at about 11 pm, reminded me of being a kid playing 'Chase HQ' Being able see which way the
road bends, and the fact theres another 2 right handers after this one was great.
