The last few times I've been out in the seven, I've had problems with the low winter sun in my eyes. Race drivers often have stickers across
the top of their visors, presumably to act as a sun visor. Can anyone seen any problem (legal or otherwise in me putting a 1.5 - 2 inch strip of
fablon (sticky back plastic in blue peter terms) across the top of my visor ?

I am a bit confused with how the law affects wearing a helmet when driving a car. Obviously there is no legal requirement for us to wear one. But what
i am talking about is what you can/cant do to it. I have problems with sun and headlight glare and have been looking into tinted visors. Most of which
are illegal for road use one a motorbike. But would this apply to driving a car?
Also, can you not get adhesive strip/film for reducing visor glare anyway? (no i dont mean the stuff you see badly stuck to the back windows of
novas)
Basically, cant help you with your post. Just adding to your questions with some wonderments of my own.

put it on the inside so the police can't see it. I think its fine to do that as you can simply raise the visor, better than crashing cos you were
blinded. I fitted a huge visor sunstrip to my car, basiclly a double strip. It is great and I never get blinded by the winter sun.

Wear sunglasses under the helmet - thats what some bikers do
Macnab, does your sunvisor strip on the windscreen say 'Richie and Eddie'.

Hi as you can see from this pic below . The strip dosent interfere with normal vision and means all you have to do is just slightly dip your head
untill the sun is blocked. IT is perfectly legal as is wearing a helmet in an open top car.

I know that I'm going to sound like a scratched record here - but my Caberg helmet has an inner dark visor that can be flipped down when needed.
As in this thread, I sometimes bring the inner visor down about an inch to block the sun when it's low. Bring it fully down, or wearing
sunglasses, often doesn't help because the road in front is often in shade.
I don't see any reason why you couldn't put a strip of tape across the top of the visor to do the same thing.

There's someone on Ebay that offers helmet visor sun strips pre-printed with your own name or logo. Look under 'helmet stickers'

Scroll down - nice photo of a Westie on there.
The Caberg is a nice idea. I have a mate with one, very useful and not a lot of money.

thanks, for the ideas. I have a roll of black fablon left over from the build. So I'll be experimenting that to start with.
