Can she blame the sat nav at all? It took her on the route, it didn't make her get out and open some gates across a train track when there was a train coming!!

Thought for the day - "The wheel's still spinning, but the hamster's dead"

ravingfool - 11/5/07 at 02:21 PM

And that's why we shouldn't let women drive

that tickled me!!

Why are her hands a completely different colour to her face?

Amazing the people they let into university these days.

Rek - 11/5/07 at 02:45 PM

And they are very big too!!!!

ravingfool - 11/5/07 at 02:55 PM

I was most impressed that she managed to drive onto the crossing and completely failed to notice the somewhat obvious sensation of driving over rails. Then got out the car and still didn't notice any rails whilst walking around on the crossing!

Bloody good job that trains sound their horns at crossings.

Aye, but the smart girls get it done all over... 'nuff said really

DIY Si - 11/5/07 at 03:32 PM

What a flaming moron! The sat nav didn't show the crossing? 'Course it won't unless you tell it to show you train lines. And as said, how did she not notice driving over the metal train lines? Just some funny welsh cattle trap? Muppet of the highest order there!

balidey - 11/5/07 at 03:42 PM

Come on, I think we're being a bit harsh on her. We've all driven onto train tracks and got our cars smashed up because we've been too focused on the little gadget on the dashboard.....

No hang on, she is a silly bint

[Edited on 11/5/07 by balidey]

russbost - 11/5/07 at 05:05 PM

Shouldn't she be blond?

DIY Si - 11/5/07 at 05:10 PM

Maybe she just over did the face-only-so-it's-really-obvious-DIY spray tan and got her hair too?

davie h - 11/5/07 at 05:11 PM

i dont suppose it will be long before we hear that she is taking legal action against the sat nav supplier for pointing her in the wrong direction and the train operating company for having the cheeck to have a train on the track when she was there shes lucky she didnt de rail the train and kill any of the passengers onboard

russbost - 11/5/07 at 05:16 PM

"in 150 metres, turn right - no that was 10 metres you silly bitch, you're driving along a train track!"

ayoungman - 11/5/07 at 05:43 PM

Now where can I find a spraying job like that then? Certainly beats spraying cars !

steve m - 11/5/07 at 06:08 PM

"And that's why we shouldn't let women drive "

exactly, as Wife and I watched the moose over the road try and reverse her micra onto the drive, earlier this evning,
one very small micra, onto a double width drive, took at least 5 attempts
when she completed it I opened the window and clapped, much to wifes disgust !!
anyway moose the minger, put her key in the front door and dropped her handbag

I pissed myself laughing

(you had to be there!!)

Bit of a drastic measure that. I mean how are we supposed to get back from the pub. And u aren't seriously suggesting men should have to do the school run are u?

MikeR - 11/5/07 at 06:50 PM

ahem ....... fozzie, can i have your car if this is made law

i've got absolutely no issue driving your car & if you want i'll even make sure i get a helmet / overalls that are identical to yours ........

for trips back from the pub.

Yeah but it would be a two tone paint job! Paint the top and leave the rest bare!

You'll find it was probably a 'user worked crossing' - the idea being that when you get to it, you stop, pick up the telephone and ask the signalman if it's safe to cross (generally preserved for the two trains a day type of line).

A lot of the UWC's are very old and, if you didn't know it was there in the dark, it could happen to anyone.

My company is currently undertaking a lot of contracts with Network Rail to upgrade these things to a half decent standard.

Plus, she's fit

DIY Si - 11/5/07 at 07:02 PM

Plus she's fit!

No, she's orange!! And looks like she applies make in spade sized quantaties!

Simon - 11/5/07 at 08:02 PM

JoelP - 11/5/07 at 08:08 PM

there is a definate case for 'incompetent in charge of a lethal weapon', not sure it would be proven but its looking shaky for her.

lsdweb - 11/5/07 at 09:24 PM

I went to that! It was ages ago - don't know why it's only just hit the news!

It could have happened to anyone.
I wouldn't if she was a fat minger though.
