In Donningtons T&C's it says that all drivers must have an MSA Competition License and also wear full race clothing

WHY?

Its not a race

Are you sure you're looking at track days rather than practice days?

Hi must be getting confused as colin says ^^^ between track day and a test day.

For a track day coverd arms/legs and a suitable helmet is all you need. Plus of course a road licence which is always worth taking with you as some operators check and some do not but better safe than not being able to play.

doesn't it say "and/or" ?

I think they put the and/or in, in case there are racers out there that do not have a licence for whatever reason!

Just spoken with them

You guys are correct although the T&C's for Trackzone cars does say that the MSA license & full race clothing are a requirement although Ive been told to tick the agreement box and ignore the license & clothing clause

I would never do donnington way to stringent on there noise emissions as in pathetic

yet theyve got 747's taking off above them

seems a joke to me

Hi the noise regs are a bit of a pain.

But given that the RGB race cars all race at a max of 105 db on race days. It is not that hard really to make a silencer without loosing any power to cope with the bec cars. One of the westfield guys is there on sunday with a busa. So will be interesting to see what he registers. Although i belive from reading on the wscc forum he has installed an air box on the induction system also.

And the strange thing is that although the DHL fully loaded planes on take off are some what loud. When you point a noise meter up they only register 70-75 db.

cheers matt
