Watch Out!

Today appears to be "National Drive like a Tw@t Day"

On my 16 mile commute this morning I had:-

A banker in a Porsche 911 pull straight out in front of me on a roundabout. Not helped by the fact that the road surface was wet, the roundabout is always covered in diesel and he was on the phone Gave him a blast of the horn, but stopped short of trying to get him to spin it on the wet surface!

A gangsta in a blacked out Lexus import, with classy gold alloys pull out on me at the next roundabout. Mind you he was running on LPG so perhaps he's excused normal driving laws. Or perhaps instead of using film on his windows he'd used black gloss paint.

A lady in a red Toyota who pulled out of lane 1 straight into lane 2 to over take a taxi, then proceeded to sit in the outside lane for 2 miles at 65 mph with nothing in the inside lane.

A Silver Audi and a Silver Citroen who both saw fit to pull out in front of me at the next roundabout. Cheers fellas!

At that point I was seriously considering stopping the car and getting out to check I hadn't switched on the "cloaking device" by accident. But I was a bit worried if I got out of the car I'd never find it again.

Not looking forward to driving to Leeds and back today!

Rant over, and breathe.

Mike

BTW I was driving a black Seat Leon with the main beam lights on, not a Seven, a motorbike, a grey car or anything else un-naturally invisible.

And you made it to work, well done!!

I know how you feel.
It reminds me of a bit of advice that Performance Bikes once printed in their magazine.... 'you have to treat every other road user as if they are trying to kill you' obviosly aimed at bike riders, but a useful thing to try and remember.

I had an idiot (blonde girl in a golf) overtake me this morning when I was doing a conservative 35 in the 30 zone where I live, and was overtaken by a golf doing about 50.

After we left the 30 zone the golf was still doing 50 - then braked for every corner (even though she didn't need to) and slowed down to 25 going up the hills. Needless to say I overtook her at the earliest opportunity and left her standing.

Why did she overtake me in a 30 doing 50 then dawdle along in the 60? beats me

Have a good trip to Leeds

Cheers

Mook

Her handbag was hanging on the choke handle?

Some people just drive at one speed, kind of an average so that at least some of the time they are within the limit.
These people need to be eliminated.

Captain Needa: "Track them..."

Radar op': "They've gone Sir!"

Captain Needa: "No ship that size has a cloaking device!"

Yesterday I followed a Suzuki Wagon R from our house to the traffic lights up the road. There were two foreign gentlemen in the car with no L plates and it proceeded up the road at a leisurely 10 to 15 mph and mounted the kerb twice. He went round the corner in the same direction as I was going towards Alfreton so I overtook him at the first opportunity. I saw at least 4 other cars pass him in my mirrors.

You guys need a dose of southern European driving, and you'll all stop ranting!!
