seem to recall someone recently (in the last year) recommending a German company. They are basically green flag, but you're buying from germany
instead of the uk. When you do a call out in the UK the UK green flag garage comes out to you.
Personally i'm with the AA, not cheap but i've been with them for years and not had a problem with the roadside guys (just with the admin
team once)
We are with the RAC and find them brilliant. It works out quite cheap if you go for the family option and it covers the people not the car, so if you beak down in a friends car, or even a strangers, you are covered.
if you have a platinum account with lloydstsb, you get AA roadside +recovery free, you also get family travel insurance and a few other things, but it
costs £15 per month

Not the cheapest I suppose but, I have AA roadside and recovery for me and the missus in any of our cars including the Indy,£90ish.
Some of the cheaper company's use local garages to come out to you and then you can fall into the ( Yeh its yer headgasket mate/big bill trap)
Steve.
I'm with Brittania. It covers me and any car I'm in (passenger or driver), Miss Owelly and any car she's in (passenger or driver) and
my car rthat is on cover and anyone who is using it if I'm with them or not. It has roadside breakdown with various options of been taken to you
destination, garage of your choice, closest garage, etc......
I think it costs about £70 a year.
OK. As a member of the CSMA I get a discount but if you have a look at the various organisations they are affiliated with, you may aslo get a few quid
off.
I pay £49.50 for the standard cover plus £29.50 for the personal cover which includes Miss Owelly. I've used them many times and the only trouble
I had was when I called them to a flat tyre on my trailer. I had already used the spare earlier in the day (as I was leaving Newark Kit Car show!!)
and as I don't carry two spares, I was stuck. They could recover me back to the recovery firms yard for free (or twenty miles IIRC) as I should
have a 'servicable spare'. Other than that, they have been very good.
Brittania
I sedcond RAC cover(never used it yet though) I have all 5 members of the familly covered for any car they're travelling in for
roadside/recovery/onward travel. I used my tesco clubcard popints (OK the wifes clubcard) and signed up to there deals with the RAC total cost to me
was £50 ish IIRC worth of clubcard vouchers (so locost that it cost nowt out of me wallet).
Us scots are thrifty mind and every little helps (to coin a phrase).
I use GEM - http://www.motoringassist.com/
Me and the Mrs, Recovery Extra (full home start cover etc etc) on personal level, so any car we are driving (including the Indy) for about 100 quid.
Used them once for the Indy so far, no problems. The have cheaper cover too, that's the all-inclusive option.
Only downside is it's UK only, so if you rely on cover for european trips etc you may want to look elsewhere.
