Why not use the built-in shift indicator in the ECU???

You can tell when it is because the engine stops reving cleanly and starts making a kind of stuttering noise

Wonder how long my engine will last!!!!

I have a shift light on the Veypor, it comes on steady red at 9,000 then flashes at 10,000.

(The steady red also comes on at 99 mph in top! which is very useful on the track )

I have also found the rev limiter several times! At first I thought it was a problem with the ignition, because the rev counter dropped from 10,000 to 5,000, but then I realised it was cutting half the sparks!
