This was a birthday present from my wife and I think she was regretting it as I was spinning around the top bend. Anyway, she took the pics and got a few decent ones for you to enjoy.

Geoff - She managed to got some nice pics of your car in action so let me know if you want any copies.

Some really nice cars there, the Locosts put up a good show and certainly mixed it with the Caterham Academy boys.

The Radical and a couple of race prepared Escorts where really fast and so was Pat Doran in his Fiesta until it went bang The Ultima looked cool but had a few mechanical problems so never really got going.

And I got sunburnt - and to think I was worried it was going to rain.

Worzey - nice looking car and the track looks interesting, with some up and down as well as bends!

btw, your car looks like the ground clearance quite a bit more at the front than the back, or is it an optical illusion?

I think its an optical illusion - its actually slightly lower at the front at about 5 1/2 inches and 6 inches at the back. Maybe it was all the diving and squatting in and out of the corners that did it.

The R888's and Wilwoods took a battering but seemed to cope very well. No fade at all.

I need a gearlever extension ASAP. I have a cut down type 9 gearlever and it was awful - I kept missing the change into second cause it was so notchy and so far away. I'm sure I could have gone faster with a smoother change.

Worzey, car looks really good. Don't worry about spinning - its half the fun as long as there is nothing solid to stop you!

Would you recommend Lydden as a track day? It appears to be quite interesting but living in the midlands, it's quite a trek.

Lydden was great - got lots of track time (2h 40mins) and it wasn't too busy.

Its a small track (1400m) so you don't go too fast. I saw 95mph on the short straights but that was about it.

Some decent corners to tackle including a tricky double apex where I span at about 60-70mph.

Great fun but its a long old drive for you!

I live about 20 minutes from the track at Lydden and have hammered an MX5 around it many a time. Some pic's on my website in the motorsports section.

Its a great circuit with a steap hill section to contend with (plays havoc with your breaking distances) and the paddock is at the bottom of the hill and can be tricky to get out of in the wet.

Never done a track day there but the circuit is fun.
