is there anyone still alive in central scotland?
escary - 8/12/03 at 11:05 AM

re title;

my shifts are buggered up just now but there is beer to be drinking.

Anyone want to post some dates and we'll see when the next meet could be?

Regards
Ewan

Ewan Ah beer, I am trying to kick off some interest to see if "anyones alive" in the Glasgow area, which is not to say that a trundle to your neck of the woods is out of the question even if its orange juice if Im driving.

Shug.

Me thinks we could let the train take the strain and get a venue near a station

Big Stu - 8/12/03 at 01:09 PM

Right well as I have been stuck at work for the last couple of meetings, I will put some dates forward, anytime from now till the 17th of December then anytime after the 28th of December.

Hopefully I will have the motor with me with the new engine. If I get it running! All that is really needing done is to get the carbs set.

SeaBass - 9/12/03 at 08:39 AM

I'm alive! Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to post... Up for a pint, I can do 12/12/03 onwards...

Cheers

escary - 9/12/03 at 01:50 PM

we usually meet at the camelon beefeater, there is a train station less than a mile from the pub.

So guys, suggest some dates and we'll go from there.

Looking forward to seeing you all

Regards
Ewan

P.S. not rolling yet and door wires arranged with ron weeks ago.

Jumpy Guy - 9/12/03 at 02:15 PM

Does anyone actually have a running car?

or are we all just tyre kickers ?

Gizmo - 9/12/03 at 04:54 PM

I'm halfway between Glasgow and Falkirk (Dullatur) and I'm up for anything that involves beer

Big Stu - 9/12/03 at 05:34 PM

Hopefully going to get an MOT on Friday so may well have a running car, providing I can get it to run a little better.

SeaBass - 10/12/03 at 07:13 PM

So then this Friday 12/12/03 from around 8:30, Beefeater, Camelon.

Does that sound okay? Looking forward to seeing that Zetec shoehorned in Stu...

Cheers
JC

Big Stu - 10/12/03 at 07:52 PM

Friday good for me, touch and go if the motor will be there.

dave1888 - 10/12/03 at 11:23 PM

escary - 11/12/03 at 04:10 PM

Regards
Ewan

escary - 11/12/03 at 04:10 PM

friday the 12th that is

dave1888 - 11/12/03 at 05:20 PM

It may be a stupid question but how will we recognise each other

SeaBass - 11/12/03 at 07:31 PM

Well I've got a strange growth that looks like a buick growing out of my head...

No... some people know each other, otherwise look for the shifty looking characters arguing about (read discussing) suspension angles etc...

When I turned up for the first time Mark had a wishbone on the table.

Cheers

MarkD - 12/12/03 at 12:28 AM

Don't think I'll be able to make it - it's my wife's work's night out and I'm looking after the kids.

I might pop in to say hello, any idea what the cut off time is for allowing kids in the bar?

Big Stu - 12/12/03 at 05:21 PM

I will be there, just the back of 8, finally got the car running alright, but no MOT I am afraid, so no car, however the garage is 2 min from the pub, so welcome to come back after and see it running.

MarkD - 12/12/03 at 05:29 PM

Just called the Beefeater - it's a partynight tonight so don't forget your party clothes.....

escary - 13/12/03 at 01:13 AM

hey guys, as above just returned home and i'm half cut as i only got there at about 10.30.
Anyway great night looks like the next meet could well be in about six weeks.
That aside how many of you chaps would be up for a go cart racing night, le mans or gp.
This was suggested tonight and would be a riot if well attended.
Could liase with our english cousins and get a cracker of a night arranged.
All coments appreciated. Dates would be more helpfull. Probably march/april time
Regards
Ewan

macspeedy - 13/12/03 at 11:22 AM

That sounds great, how about the gocart centre here http://www.raceland.co.uk/ as they have an outdoor circuit which is smiles better than indoor!

Dunc - 24/12/03 at 11:50 PM

Carting sounds cool. Could we combine it with paintball, always wanted to do that starsky and hutch thing and try and shoot out some tyres while hammering round a race track, or was that the A-team?

malcolmstoddart - 28/12/03 at 06:18 PM

just let 'is know when it is and where, that raceland bit is supposed to be ok, from what I hear...can get a few more bodies to go...
