Just a thought, i have been reading the threads over the last few days about the issues shall we say that people have been having on the payment part.
I seem to have seen quotes along the lines of Fozzie has alot to do to keep the site clean and running well or something along those lines.
My suggestion is to make a few members full time Moderators of the site to help with running it and im sure there are plenty of members on her who
would gladly help out free of charge to keep this site running and keep out spam and help with any issues that may arise.
Just a though. keep it in mind.
an interesting idea. i've been on other forums, maybe even not as busy as this one, but more world wide users, and theres been like 10 mods.
sounds an idea to me!
i used to go on fiatforum alot, there was a large team of moderators that each took a section each and looked after. they mainly went for a section
they specialised in.

This is the only site i use that has only one mod. surly it must be a good idea to have a few. not every person can be on the site every day so a few mods to help would be a good idea IMO

Modding is a ballaching, thankless task. If it is done well no-one notices all the rubbish you keep from them, but you do get oversensitive wingers
complaining about every percieved slight and stirrers who push the rule boundaries to provoke a response. It takes a very calm personality and a very
thick skin. Unfortunately this means that those with the most techical know how or highest post counts are not always the best candidate.

Sorry but you seem to have taken this the wrong way. its just a suggestion as from what i have read by Chrisw you have a lot to do on this site and it was simply a suggestion to help YOU out if it was needed.

Yes I do, have a lot to do at times......but not often, and, it is manageable......

that new government swine flu help line. nothing majorly exciting, but £7 an hour is better than the £0 i've been on for the last 4 months

when the issue of moderation first came up the consensus was that it wasnt needed as back then the forum was more civilised. It was only when spammer
started posting porn that it became an issue. Not sure how fozzies name came up but time has shown it was a good call. She's on here daily and
copes well as far as i see. I would still argue against more moderators because theres no knowing what sort of meglomaniac idiot would get in. We just
got lucky that fozzie was a good choice!

I am now in my 11th day of oink-flu, and struggling at times, but tbh, I have auto-immune thyroid disease, and I think in all fairness it has upset my
'levels' ..currently waiting blood work results, so it's all in hand..

Edit to add.... Ivan, it has meant that I cannot go to the Silverstone Classic this year... It starts Friday......
but as we have our own business, we can take a proper holiday any time there is a space with bookings at the workshop, so luckily it hasn't
ruined anything...
DLT (OH) is going to the Classic with his mates now, so I will hear all about it, and it is on TV....he is very good, he knows what cars I lurve, and
when they start up (he is usually paddock side), he will phone me and let me listen........so its not that bad..

Welcome to working life! I was on nights last week. I'm on a 12-10 today then 1600-0200 for the next few days and then bam, I'm in at 0700
the wek after. Body clock's all over the show.
