Regarding bolt length for attaching top & bottom front wishbones please see attached pdf file.
Measure the outside dimension of the bracket and buy the appropriate length AN bolt. Since AN bolts are available in 1/8" increments you
shouldn't have any problem. (I have no idea what "AN" bolts are called in the UK and Europe. Here in the US it means Army/Navy, and was
a spec for producing consistant, accurate parts.)
If you use spacers so the bracket doesn't bend inward when tightened - and you should - it will work just fine, even without the outside spacer
in the drawing.
One more thing, we should all be using high quality bolts in our builds. HW from the local store has very poor dimensional control (it's
undersize) and poor traceability (who knows the quality.) About being undersized, it's a great way to make your accurately built chassis and
suspension really inaccurate - as the joints slip around on the small bolts.

I don't see the problem, if the bolts are done up tight, the crush tube should not move. Detail C will not ware as there no movment on the bolt, it should be rock solid, the only movment is the bush on the tube...
I agree with Bluemoon - nothing but the bush should move as the bolt should clamp up to the inner metal tube, so there should be no wear.
Hopefully the 75mm bolts I've ordered should be OK. They are only 16p each so are cheap enough.

But isn't "will be fine" better than "should be fine"?
It doesn't cost any more to do it right.
Hi
Sorry - should have said 'will be fine' as the bolt simply clamps the crush tube and doesn't control any of the suspension movement.
