I'm after advice on making a rear roll cage and need to know if i need to weld plates to the chassis where the roll bar mounts to it - by your shoulder and passengers shoulder. Or can you just bolt to it.

Advice please.

You need to read the regs from the MSA here

As said read the Blue Book but if running in a roadgoing class a full cage is not normally necessary on 1a tyres, some events require them if running 1b, if you run in modprod you'll need one.
