Does anyone know the bolts/threads required to mount the engine as above - I've tried a standard metric thread for size, but it didn't want
to go (seems to be 10mm dia though).
Just wondering if anyone can tell me how they've goner about it.
It's going in an Indy, with standard MK cradle if it helps.

They may be 1.25mm pitch,not 1.5mm

How about the long mount on the back of the engine - would a piece of threaded bar do the job? I don't like using threaded bar for mounting
things where possible, but if needs must, then they must
we normally tap the top and bottom rear mounts to take m12 bolts, but threaded rod should be ok just make sure it is decent quality, min 4.8 grade

I was able to get 210mm long M10 bolts from a local supplier - be warned one is longer than the other! Also round the other side of the engine (now
front) is a M12x1.25 bolthole

Might it be worth trying to get hold of some OE items?
Of course, the bolt holes on the cradle may mean the bolts are too long/short, but it might be worth a try?
You could u2u zxrlocost, i'm taking a couple off his hands in the morning! Mine are all m10 fine on the head, having worked out what to do with the bottom, probably threaded stainless bar from screwfix.

Nip down to Chapmans and order some OE bolts - they'll all come in at under a tenner!
I was the leading bidder on the bolts on Ebay, but lost last minute.
Tried York Yamaha today, but they aren't heathens like me and don't work Sundays.
I just wonder whether the OE bolts will be long enough to go through the cradle bolt holes (50mm tube either side).
The long bolts or the short ones? The long ones won't.....
Shorter bolts will need to be M10x1.25x70, Long bolts can be any pitch, but need to be 100mm longer than the engine lugs (50mm each side).
Plus, I really would like this part to be mounted using high tensile rather than plain bolts!
I'll try Selby Bolt & Nut at Elvington, but won't hold my breath.
Oooh oooh, there's a nut and bolt place around the corner from Chapmans in Tang Hall - I can't remember the name though..... I *think*

You're best option is to get a piece of HT steel rod bar and have the ends threaded so you can bung a nut on either end if you can't get a
bolt long enough.
Namrick can make bolts to any spec within reason, they probably also stock high tensile threaded bar which will be a lot cheaper
This is for the two long bolts at the rear, the other for the head mounts should be stock

why is everyone suggesting OE items there totally the wrong length
and I had to use threaded bar on the back two mounts that go straight through never did me any harm all those supercars I destroyed going sideways
On the gearbox side of the motor, on the upper mount there are two 'top-hat' type spacers. How have people gone about tapping these mounts?
Remove the top hat?

I have the 03 engine but I think it's mechanically similar.
I used OE bolts for the two front (wrt bike) mountings, these were quite pricey and needed to be shortened which was tough as they are very hard.
I've used stainless M10 rod for the upper and lower rear mount's. The rear mounts could just as easilly be drilled and tapped to M12 but
mine had been slightly molested at some point so I stuck with the rod.
