Will a bonnet louvre like this pass sva?

I have a hole in my bonnet where the previous exhaust went through and need to fill it for SVA on Monday.

Will one of these double louvres split in two, smoothed around the edges and riveted to the bonnet pass sva?

Nope. Too sharp edges. I'd leave them off until after the test..... unless you've got a serious cooling problem!!!

Louvres can be tricky as they tend to have some sharp edges , you may be ok just to edge trim the last contactable louvre edge . Or can you just put edge trim on the hole itself or are there sharp things in the hole (if you'll pardon the expression )?

Look at some of my SVA picks to see the comedy solutions to the vents on my car that kind Mr SVA man helped me fit !!!

I'd leave it off for now and use plain sheet for the test. At the least the fin's would need to be blunted.

Application of rules may depend on whether they accept it's an air inlet/outlet or just decorative.

note they also check things like nut covers on harness shackles and if you have an open boot area all the edges in there two .....now just imagine the scenario for those items to be dangerous to pedestrians ! but those is the rules

On front suspension they only check the forward facing edges.

Either way i'd still leave it off and just blank it with a piece of ali/plastic/wood/whatever you've got lying around in the garage, as it'll only be coming off afterwards..
