Is your car made of ALL new parts then with the exception of 1?

Check out the sticky post at the top of this forum

You will need to wait till Sept 1 st for 58 plate.

Although I am submitting mine so will read responses with interest

If it is "new" i.e. all new except for one part, then I think you can get a 58 plate if first reg after 1 September even if (obviously) built beforehand

I put "New build". I got an '08.

Were you all new parts or just said it?

Can I take the "fifth amendment" on that one?

The rule says... All major components except one which can be "reconditioned as new".

Chassis, steering, axles (hubs), engine, transmission (diff and prop shaft) are listed on the form (can't remember the form number). I have reciepts for them all being new except the engine and I've one for that being recon'ed as new. DVLA also asked me to sign a declaration of newness. I also made sure she saw the file of bills when they did the inspection but she wasn't inclined to wade through it!

Yes, I put "new build" for q11 on the sva form.

Is the question around the reg more to do with when you apply to DVLA for your plates as against when your original build date is.
Cheers
