Hi, this is posted as a little sub section in a Luego post but thought it may be of interest to other people on here as well.

I have just had all the inner of my Luego Velocity finished in a spray on protective coating, which really finished off the inside as well making it really hard wearing.

I do still need to drill a few holes in the floor as I have just created myself a nice little paddling pool as it has made everything watertight. Apparently it has been used to make ponds and reservoirs watertight in the past. The uses never end and I'm sure you guys can come up with even more.

Not exactly sure on prices but think around the £300 mark, in black or grey, if the car was all masked keyed and sheeted ready to spray. It can be done in any colour though. The great thing is that it dries totally in seconds, meaning it can even be sprayed on from below. There are a few extra photos in my profile on here.

Was it expensive to do and did you do it yourself?

No you can't do it at home, it is all special spray equipment and heated spray lines. I discovered it as we have a lot of products at work protected with it.

I think this is the stuff they spray into the back of pickup trucks to form a load liner.

I never actually weighed before and after, but it is probably equivalent to having a sheet of rubber coving the same area that is of the same thickness. I am not considering racing it, maybe just the odd track day, so the weight was never a concern.

I have a rubbery stone guard on the underside of my arches, the line-x is thicker and more hard wearing than that. I may get that sprayed over in the distant future. I will concentrate on getting it on the road first though.
