After float chamber gaskets for cbr1000FP (93 - Keihin - carbs)

stripped carbs to clean & gaskets have dried out. carbs now peeing fuel on 2 chambers

No Honda bike dealers in Leicester

Tried ringing nearest in Coventry all day - no one answering the phone - left message & emailed.

Local bike dealer in hinckley wanted chassis number ??? - figured he wouldnt know what an MK is

Anyone happen to have an FP and know their chassis#?

Emailed numerous dealers on the net - nowt heard back.

Could anyone recommend where I might get them from?

Cheers,

James

Most bikes have either Keihin or Mikuni carbs dont they?? You'd think getting parts would be simple from pretty much any non franchise bike parts place

http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/

have always been good to me....
I think somewhere on their website there's even a stock count so you can see if they've got the part you want.

Otherwise I've had excellent service from Bike Bandit in the states. Online parts diagrams, super quick delivery etc etc. And cheaper than UK suppliers (mostly). Depends how quickly you need the bits...

1st quote from a Honda Dealer

He asked me to sit down 1st!

1 set = £31 x4 ...... £125!!

I've contacted Bikebandit

I asked for price and cheapest UK shipping their reply

"We do offer international shipping to the UK, the shipping will be $62.07 USD"

They didn't actually give a parts price - I guess they gathered I wouldn't be bothering.

Those prices are ridiculous! You may as well just buy some carbs of ebay!

Yeah..... already been looking plenty of 600F? carbs (look like same chamber) £50 + 10 del

No guarantee they're any better condition but I'm tempted!
