nice little HF inverter tig, around £500 new, might be cheapish?
GYS 160 HF tig
damn thats local nat, bet you're gutted you had to drive miles for yours...
doesn't do AC though - Nats does
ah yesh opps
Just to bring this back to the top, please somebody on here buy this it is an absolute bloody bargain!!!! (nothing to do with me I must add!)
which means its less than what NS Dev paid for his & we've all seen what he's done in the space of one week - set up enough demand for
exhausts to cover the cost 4 times over.
Having seen what TIG can look like I'd love to go for it, i just don't have
a) the space
b) the power feed into the garage.

This is similar to my one, managed to strap that for single phase although 80 amp draw on 240v makes the meter spin like a top if you go over 250 amps
!
Mind you usual welding is under 100amp, its the stable arc and fine control thats the key.

I asked about the Miller and he said there was no way it would run on single phase. How did you adapt yours, in case anything similar comes up?

I meant the one that Mark linked to Nat, There was one like yours on but it was a dealer selling it and it didn't make reserve.
I have the same unit, bought new from a aguy in Bristol for about £475 ..... awesome ..... if only I had the time to use it these days
