I finally got around to fitting my lsd diff over the weekend god that was fun
but when i tried to fit the shafts they are to big for the rear uprights
they are the 100mm flange type
so any other mnr owners using bolt on shafts?
i'm curious as to if its possible, unless they do two different uprights
i have emailed mnr but haven't got anything back yet.
cheers
john
Are the shafts from an ABS equiped car?
IIRC there's something about needing to turn the ends down to remove the ABS ring/teeth.
(I could be on the wrong track though)
I was thinking the same thing as Nick. I have 100mm bolt on lobros and they are ok. I did have trouble with the ABS rings. Here is a post with a pic of it. LINKY
No its the lobro itself wont fit in the gap, the rear uprights are only about 80mm wide, i know the older rear uprights were wider as i have a set in
the garage, but they dont fit the newer style chassis
got a email back from Marc saying they wont fit, and to just use push in shafts, ie remove the shafts from the diff, but you can't do that with a
lsd diff as they are different lenghts

Here's a piccy
Are your rear uprights the same as these road warrior
Rescued attachment rear upright lobro joint.jpg
Can you change the outer joints for the old tripode CV/push-in ones off the shafts you've removed. IIRC the actual shaft is the same and you can
simply removed the circlip and slide the lobro bit off and the tripode bit back on.
A pain in the knackers removing all the CV boots etc, but it might be the cheapest solution.
I did think about that, i had a old pair of push in shafts and cut open the joint and removed the tripod but the inner spines were different!
the shafts i removed from the car are kinda new, so dont really wanna cut them open to find they are also the wrong size
Grrrrrrr
I fitted them to mine and yes it was easy, although fitting the LSD diff was a pain as MNR have welded the frame so that i have to loose the back plate before i remove or fit the diff.
you can cut the small horn shaped part off the 3.62 LSD with a hacksaw and it slides out through chassis rails. dont ask me how i found that out! lol. a pain in the arse
You might be able too on yours but i cant, ive cut off every bit possible and it doesnt fit - ive also had another 2 MNR owners come and Try and also found it impossible.
