same as this one.
Mine was a brown renault 16.
Column change and an umbrella handbrake
poking out of the dash.
It was pig ugly but it was a lovely drive.
Andy
Morris Marina 1.8TC... I was chuffed to bits cause it had a rev counter!
Triumph spitfire mk3 in valencia blue. (which I restored, but only drove a couple of times on the road, then sold to go to university), The a Rover P6
3.5 ex police car in red (reg nr 3694D)
Hugh
Well, I guess its technically a Locost but since it was in bits I dont think that really counts. So its a 2.0l TDDi Mondeo with 260000 miles on the clock.
306 dturbo
because i couldnt insure a gti or rallye and it looked the same
1969 Mini Van. when I was 10 in 1976................. took me near on three months to sus the point were shut !!!!
You'll find seven pages on the subject HERE just last month.
Mk2 3 door Golf GTi 16v in blue (small bumper version)
Had 115,000 miles on it but went like a dream, handled like a go cart compared to the borrowed Mini and Citroens (dad owned a garage so drove all the
cast offs and trade ins!) I had driven previously. Luckily I lived to tell the tale but had a few hairy moments but was 22 when I got it thank god. If
I'd been 17 I would have got myself in trouble.

A 1968 VW Beetle.
Colour: Toilet Blue. Not sure VW called it that though.
It was great! Used more oil than petrol. Dont suppose running on just 3 cylinders helped as one piston had a huge hole in it as i found out when i
set to rebuilding the engine. In fact i had to scrap the whole engine as it so far gone and upgraded to a nice new shiny 1600cc which ran on
unleaded.....QUALITY!! Upped the bhp from 35 to oooohh around 50 i reckon!!
Mini Van 649BVC Nearly 40 years ago now, You have to love your first car, and yes I did have a matress in the back.
Steve.
A mighty 4 speed 998cc pug 106.
Second was the westfield, bit of difference lol
950cc Ford fiesta F63 AUB was the reg. about 12 years ago now.
Heap of shite, had hole's every where.
1st I bought with my own money was a Pug 205 GTI 1600 in white.
Mk 1 Fiat Uno 60S, E-reg '87.
Though it was bought for me so technically my first bought and paid for was Alfa 146 1.6L M-reg '94.
The Fiat was loads of fun (so light with tin foil panels) and the Alfa felt like an improvement (it had more power and I wanted a boxer after my
Grandad's '87 pre-impreza Subaru) until I bought the current Focus.
That's my limited experience!
Mk1 Fiesta 1300S, a silver version of this, with the same go faster stripes ........................happy days
[Edited on 19/12/11 by clanger]

Manual Choke and cream and more magic trees to conver up the smell of damp

'74 Triumph 2000 TC saloon.
Loved the wood and cloth reclining seats with headrests - the height of luxury! (well, it was compared to my mates and their MK1 Escorts! )
I used to tell the wimmin that it was a Stag with a hard top!
1972 Betltle fitted with the VW van engine. Also had the leather interior from the old Rover P5..
Had it for 3 days before driving thru 3 garden.. Worse car ever since it was not able to take corners, at speed with 6 people on a damp road
Willy's Navy jeep paid £65 in 1963

My 1981 TR7 Drophead, bought it off my dads mate when i was 16 & he had it from new, i always wanted one being a 1970's kid & my dad lent
me the money to buy it.
I drove it everywhere in all weathers, mostly with the top down :-) had it for about 10 years but ended up needing so much welding doing that i had to
sell it as i had a family and a new mortgage :-(
Most people hated them but i loved it, would buy another one tomorrow if i had time to keep on top of the rot
(with all the other old crap i own !)
Here she is at Alexander Palace classic car show in the early 90's
Rescued attachment My TR7.jpg
there it is before written off by a woman driver down M3
Mk 2 escort 1.6 in purple with a black vinyl roof !!, followed by a 1275gt mini..... loved that car, after the escort it cornered like it was on rails. got a capri fetish after that, first a 2.0 ghia, then a 3.0s then a 4speed 2.8i, must have had all of them by the time i was 20, my dad was a car dealer and insurance was no problem in those days !!
1966 Mini Cooper 998cc in White .... KJJ 725D where are you now??? probably been recycled into a Proton or Hyundai dustcart, it was 42 years ago!
e531djn, a ford sierra saloon. I loved it! Drove it loads to uni, ended up bending it a touch, backwards into a tree on soldiers field
Should really have taken a test before setting out, i suppose
'74 Mk 1 Escort 2 door which quickly went from crossflow to pinto. At one point it was mainly yellow (apart from the red bonnet, dark blue boot lid, green passenger door and powder blue with dark blue RS stripes driver's door - and everyone thought VW were off the wall with the "Harlequin". Rostyles, fishnet Recaros, half cage, single box big bore manifold, twin 40's etc
Triumph dolomite, XST 795M, 1500HL twin carb
Great car in it's day!.
Ian
63? FB Victor in wedgewood blue and rust brown

Best £30 ever spent!
Black Mini 1275gt for me, in 1989... Added 1.75 single SU on decent manifold and tubular manifold with RC40 system.
Went quite well until i oversteered into a massive fence post. Did rebuild it though.
