Tried that Mal,

Most of the "free" ones are trials or free to download but pay to use !
One which appeared truly free set my anti virus into hysterics.
That's when I decided to ask here

stoopid question can a pdf be converted the otherway round?
Just we have pdf drawing set for the buggy that needs turned into cutting files for andy wide to make the steel bitz and bobs

Under certain circustances yes, if its a vectorised CAD file thats been pdf converted then yes. I know Adobe CS does it without breaking a sweat, and i think some Apple Mac software does as well.

If its a scanned page of a CAD drawing then no, not without revectoring it anyway.

I don't have the software so I can't do it for you I'm afraid. I'm sure someone will though.

I must admit the way I'd convert would be open the DXF file in a CAD package and then do a print using CutePDF Simples.

to avoid problems your normaly best just redrawing it in CAD....

Google PDF 995. Its the nuts, i use it all the time.
