Soliworks Tutorial
Noodle - 30/1/06 at 04:12 PM

A friend of mine who's an AutoCad meister has been given Solidworks 2004 to play with but is lacking the manuals.

Does anyone have recommendations for tutorials that can be downloaded?

Cheers,

Neil.

Try looking around here.Cad Forum
I could point you in the right direction if it was Autodesk Inventor. Be careful as the manufactures hang about on this site.

You could try sDotson.com and KwikMcad

I will have a quick look around for you.

Does he not have the tutorials that come with the program? There are loads to do on mine from the very basics up to quite advanced stuff. 2005 has even more with the weldments feature and what not.

SW2004 should have an "online tutorial" installed with the program.

If you open up solidworks, and click on "help", then "online tutorial" and hey presto. There is enough in there to get you going.

The help files included with Solidworks are actually quite good. The paper manuals are not really needed in my opinion...

I just Googled and came up with a few links

http://www.caddigest.com/subjects/solidworks/tutorials.htm
http://www.me.cmu.edu/academics/courses/NSF_Edu_Proj/Statics_Solidworks/
http://www.solidworks.com/pages/products/edu/specialtytutorials.html
http://www.samplechapters.com/1585031682-1.pdf

There are loads more out there too but that should get you started
