can anyone help!.had car up and running for about 3 years clutch always been heavy to push in.been told to take clutch plate, cover plate, and thrust bearing,
to local clutch re-furbishers to see if they match. straight away they said the thrust bearing and cover plate dont match. they were both flat surfaces.but cant get radius thrust bearing to fit type 9 box. can anyone help if had same problem.

Would have thought that a Sierra 1.8 cvh clutch would fit ? Probably worth changing the whole clutch if it's been causing problems

what about the 1800cvh ? it had the type 9 as standard

is there just one type or two the chap at the clutch re-ferbishers thought that there was two different ones but wasnt sure. i think that the fly wheel is diferent, but not sure.

Might be worth checking your local motor factors .they should have details of clutch fitments ie diameter, spline and size etc. Suprised your clutch refurbs can't give you the correct information. Only ever fitted one reconditioned clutch, had to change it as it was faulty .

have changed cover plate for sierra 1800 which has curved fingers but when push clutch pedal in cant get any gears. have only a band of about 1/4"where can get an odd gear but push it in any further nothing!

Silly question, the clutch is adjusted correctly ?you need about 3mm max free play at the clutch operating lever
