Has anyone got exerience of this.

I have currently a silver top 1.8 with an escort 130 plenum and TPS. Im using a Webber Alpha management system as well. Having looked at the Haynes ws manual it appears that the 2.0 silver top has the same size inlet valves as the 1.8 and was in 130bhp build.

My theory is that the engine management system should work with this config. Any thoughts or has anyone done it. I know its not the optimum set up but is very cost effective from where Im at.

your ecu will need a remap.

you will need to change the water pump over along with the other bits.

You will gain 10~15bhp and a fare bit of torque.

its hardly worth the effort, shove a turbo on it insted lol
