I've done my TPS bins as a curve - very small steps at the start , gradually getting larger .
The first third of the graph covers about the first 10% of throttle opening .

This is where I am at the moment. Its not too bad around the cruising areas now, and is getting quite close at WOT too. Obviously needs some smoothing out though.

Do you think my first TPS bins are too far apart?

Looks not to bad IMHO.

If we agreed on the last couple of posts re the light throttle opening then perhaps you'd need to go on the tps scale something like.
59
62
65
68
72
80
90
110
135
160
180
220

I'm just speculating David and no expert by any stretch of the imagination but it may be worth a try. It'd be the same route I'd be doing myself when the time comes. You can always go back to where you are now.
ETA oops it's upside down ( i'm sure you noticed though)

By playing around it looks like mine splutters before it leaves the first TPS bin on the map and the ADC count only increases by 1 point too.

I'll have another play at the weekend and see how I get on

fair enough, just interested where you were coming from thats all

Check for play between the throttle shaft and the TPS sensor. It sounds as though the throttles are opening without actuating the TPS. This would cause the engine to go lean.

What ignition system are you using? I'm running my MSextra Pinto on the EFI dizzy with an added ignition module (not the TFI unit, that didn't fit in my chassis due to the car being LHD)
