Speed bumps
Looking at the previous thread on speed bumps, is there a set height for them or can they build what they like. Nearby to where I live in Sandwich
they are all over the place with some huge ones made from granite blocks. Also are squirrels natures own little speed bumps?

Some stuff
here m8, and yes there is a specification but in my 7 it can go over most speedhump no problem.
<<Rant mode on>>
Its the stupid little square ones that normal cars can fly over but I've got to wait until theres nothing coming the other way and then go in
the middle of the road so my sump goes over the gap.
Pi55 me right off those little buggers make more of a hazzard than a safety system.

Max height is 100mm but the DoT say they don't recommend > 75mm.....
Trouble is they don't say what it has to be relative to!!!!
IE does the top of the speed bump have to be horizontal? If so, putting one on a 45 degree down slope could be quite serious....

JCB once had some cowboys do a few speed bumps on one of the cheadle carparks.
- They where about leval with the curb, around measured around 100mm. But they where also only 250mm wide, humped tarmac construction, and
practically every single car (std production cars here) hit on them.
About an inch was taken of the hight of them in the 3 days they where there. Before being removed and remade.
Like the bolt-on rubber ones in some carparks that i find partiularly bad. Only more aggressive and more solid.
