In my first 900 miles of locost motoring (with just an aeroscreen) I had two near misses. The worst was at only 30 mph, the flying stone was not large to see properly (so couldn't have been that big) but it ricocheted off my rollover hoop (mms from my right eye) like a bullet.

My windscreen upgrade started the next day!!

Next time you see a screened Caterham in the flesh, count the number of stone chips in the glass.

So poo happens but if you want to be 100% safe, stay at home and don't get out of bed. I'll bet more limbs are broken getting out of bed than Massa type injuries.

The 22gal beer kegs weigh about 50kg empty too! I bet poo happened in that car

You know I always thought the laminated windscreen was supposed to stop things coming through it. Of course it can't stop everything but I've seen those windows take some hefty smacking and although they break they don't break through. Must be getting some serious force in to go through the front and back window
