Goodwood or Brands next week
Hello
Goodwood next saturday still has a few places but costs £250, or Brands mid week for £169.
So has anyone done Goodwood, is it worth the extra?
Brands, no overtaking on bends, at Lydden you get to go by cars anywhere so is this an issue?
Just trying to get a feel as on things, comments please.

I think Lydden is unique in allowing you pass on bends and either side,Ive not done goodwood but the noise limit is only 98dbs,and £250 is a lot of
money if you fail it,I would go for brands,105dbs noise level there

Checked the weather, looks like it will sort itself out by Tuesday so booked Brands on Thursday.
Had a bit of googling caterham's at Goodwood, looks a bit flat out on long straights so Brands wins as its on a hill.

I suspect you'll get annoyed at not being able to overtake on corners - after Lydden it seems very constrained! The marshalls at Brands are VERY
sharp with the black flag if you even have a look down the inside. Overtaking is by consent only, has to be on the left and is allowed on the
straights only.
All in the name of safety I suppose, but annoying when an Evo with 400-odd bhp driven by an idiot who wouldn't move over holds you up through
every corner but then romps away down the straight. I got black flagged in the end after getting frustrated and outbraking him into Druids. Had to
endure a bollocking from Clark of the Course even though he was being blue flagged for the previous 2 laps. Grr.
On the plus side, it's a great circuit. Seeing how late and how little you dare brake for Paddock is amazing.
