Fun drive today

I nipped out for an hour or two this afternoon - had a GREAT time!

Decided to avoid all the A roads and stuck to the tight little twisties, got to say the car was on form!!

Got all squirly a few times cos I was a bit heavy with the right foot, and at one corner (that has excellent visabilty) I got the back end out Not done THAT before.

Really REALLY enjoying the car at the moment - thought I'd post this up so that all you guys who are slogging away can have a little hope that on the right day, on the right road, in the car you built it is SUPERB.

Oh, and also enjoyed scaring the BEJEZUS out of my little sister, she said she "couldn't be more scared" and flapped her arms round to get me to slow down a few times, but she didn't stop grinning the whole time.

Good day for it, I went out today, had a look down to Saturn Sportscars.

I avoided the twisty bits as I had the laptop doing a bit of map tuning so stuck to the A19 to get some high speed on-off throttle mapping.

Really looking forward to the coming months, warming up, getting out for runs etc.

Good day out for me too, Rotherham across to oulton Park 90 miles over Woodhead with 3 other die hards, to watch the BARC and Danny Keenan running his MK Indy R he managed second place in his second race, after receiving damage to his steering in the firs race where he was in 2nd place

Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

locost race car that never made it to the track with an 893 fireblade - its running pretty lean, I was popping and banging whilst dropping through the box into the corners.

Suspension isn't QUITE right yet, and the diff is maybe a touch short in ratio - its 10mph per 10k rpm in top, so I find myself in 6th a lot! that said, it makes it accelrate up to 70 pretty dam fast

Went over a bump in the road whilst gunning it and the rears span up as the back end went light!

So work to do on the suspension I think, but it was lovley driving roads I have ridden in anger on my bike before - the dynamic is different in a car, but it was cool knowing them.
